Hi there, I am so glad you're here
My name is Taf Manhambo
I work with people navigating trauma, anxiety, grief, loss and challenges in relationship with themselves, others, or the world around them along with the big existential questions that often come up during times of uncertainty change or disconnection.
I believe we all carry a deep intuitive wisdom - an inner resilience that knows how to heal, connect, and move toward what matters. But when life feels too fast, too much, or shaped by ongoing stress, trauma, or adversity, it can be hard to stay connected to that part of ourselves.
The good news is, as humans we’re wired for connection. We’re not meant to do this alone. Healing often begins in safe relationships, in community, and in spaces where we feel supported and seen.
Together, we can explore what’s held in your mind and body, make sense of what feels stuck, and reconnect with your capacity for clarity, self-trust, and that inner resilience.

Why work with me:
I’m committed to ongoing learning and providing high-quality, ethical support.
My work is grounded in evidence-based, neuroscience-informed, humanistic, and relational practices and research
I have formal, accredited training and am registered with Australian professional bodies in both psychotherapy and social work.
My work supervised by two clinical psychotherapy supervisors (each with 30+ years of experience)
How I became a mental health therapist.
I was born and raised in Zimbabwe and moved to Australia as a young adult. This experience of migration, with all its complexity, has deepened my understanding of mental health, life transitions, isolation, grief, and displaced belonging. It has also strengthened my appreciation for community, supportive relationships, and the resilience needed to rebuild a sense of self and belonging over time.
Over nearly a decade, I’ve worked across both public and private human services, supporting individuals impacted by trauma and mental health challenges. The people I’ve had the privilege of supporting and my own lived experience continue to shape how I show up in the room: with presence, openness, curiosity, and deep respect for the many layers we all carry.
At the heart of my clinical practice is the therapeutic relationship. I work from a collaborative, process-oriented, and relational approach, paying attention not only to what’s said and thought, but also to what’s felt in the body, expressed through the nervous system, and revealed in patterns of relating to self and others. I believe meaningful change happens in the context of safety, connection, and mutual respect. This is the kind of space I aim to co-create with each person I work with.
